In contrast to a lot of suppositions the company Radiospares® from Great Britain never manufactures transformers itsself. They only were a great supplier for electronic and mechanical components. (History of RadioSpares®)
Over the years Radiospares® changed their suppliers of transformers, so there were for one type different versions. One example is the Radiospares® EL84 Output Transformer. which was availalbe from the start till the end in threee different versions, with different materials, technical characteristics and sizes but with the same catalog description.
The famoust output transformer is the "RS De-Luxe Output Transformer", which was built in the first Marshall® JTM45 models. This transformer too was wounded from its inception to its end from five different companies, however four manufacturers no longer exists. The fifth is a family-owned manufacturer and is still winding transformers.
