Partridge Transformers are well know for their excellent workmanship and their durability. Even this Transformer was found only in the Hiwatt® 100 Amplifier, it has all features of a valve Hi-Fi output transformers, which are for e.g. combed cut isolation material, clock and counterclockwise wounded coils, a high interleaved coil structure and some other things more. Therefore this item was done as all other Partridge Transformers on a single winder, a multiple stick winder hasn´t all the skills to do the things correctly.
This version has a primary impedance of 1750 Ohms and secondary taps for 4,8 and 16 Ohms. This old version has a 100 Volt tap too. For analyzing I have started with some static measurements, which were taken with the WAYNE Kerr® Pecision Induction Analyzer 3245. Both Static power measuremts with my Genrad® 1630AV and Data Sheets for the Frequency Response will follow.
By regarding the data, you can notice that this is a "HiFi" Output Transformer with a lot of headroom. Especially the leakage induction values guarantee a very wide frequency response.
